Pink

I thought people were supposed to be special on their birthdays. If that's true, then why is my dog the only one I could convince to come for a 10 mile run in the freezing cold and snow with me before work this morning? I guess I know who really loves me.

My watch died, so the run was slow and easy and super hilly. We were sliding around in the snow for a while, but I never had to break out the yaktrax (I made Bungee carry them for me in her pack...I think I'm beginning to understand why no one wants to run with me.). I listened to an audiobook about a serial killer, so even if I had wanted to stop, the fear would have kept me going. There's really no motivator quite like fear. The other awesome part about my run is that I got to try out one of my birthday presents. A woman I work with sent me this awesome Brooks hat yesterday.

I would have taken a picture in all of my running gear, but I was half frozen by the time I got back to the house, so I opted to throw my clean clothes in the dryer and take a shower to warm up as fast as possible. I'm still shivering a lot.

Today, I'm spending the rest of my birthday working and celebrating the launch of Aspaeris' new re-designed Pivot Shorts, which also happen to come in an amazing shade of pink to match my new hat.

Mike has also promised to take me out for dinner, so it won't all be work!
